The city of Neverwinter lies on the Sword Coast, west and north from the Dessarin Valley. Once known as the Jewel of the North, Neverwinter was badly damaged when nearby Mount Hotenow erupted about fifty years ago. The City of Skilled Hands works furiously to rebuild itself as a wealthy trading city known for its clocks and other superbly made local items. Neverwinter’s reconstruction is far from complete, however. Entire sections of the city still lie in rubble, plagued by brigands and monsters, and sinister factions scheme to take over the place.
Neverwinter is part of the league of city-states known as the Lords’ Alliance. Lord Dagult Neverember rules over the city, even though he isn’t the true heir to Neverwinter’s crown. He supports the alliance’s efforts to establish civilization throughout the North, although his primary concern is to rebuild the city and its economy.
The most direct route to Neverwinter from the Dessarin Valley is to head west along the trail from Triboar to the tiny town of Phandalin (about 140 miles), then north another 110 miles or so along the coastal road. Riders who know the way, travel light, and push hardy mounts can make the trip in as little as eight or nine days.
A dwarf named Gundren Rockseeker asked you to bring a wagonload of provisions to the rough-and-tumble settlement of Phandalin, a couple of days’ travel southeast of the city. Gundren was clearly excited and more than a little secretive about his reasons for the trip, saying only that he and his brothers had found “something big,” and that he’d pay you ten gold pieces each for escorting his supplies safely to Barthen’s Provisions, a trading post in Phandalin. He then set out ahead of you on a horse, along with a warrior escort named Sildar Hallwinter, claiming he needed to arrive early to “take care of business.”

Kita had been in Neverwinter when she was approached by Gundren. With her coin purse not as heavy as it used to be she jumped at the chance to see more of the Sword Coast and fill her purse a bit. Eagerly, she waited for the others he said he hired.

Having never stepped outside of Candlekeep since childhood, Eniwin, eagerly matched through the gates of Neverwinter. She had received a letter from her mentor stating a Mr. Gundren was in need of assistance with something and she was sent to aid him in his mission.
A woman with ashen hair walks into the tavern. She appears to be human though her eyes are pale blue with only pupils. She looks around the tavern then she walks toward the bar keep. "Greeting! I'm looking for Gundren."
One of Gundren's contracts from Mirabar told him that they would send a blacksmith to meet him in Neverwinter. Expecting a dwarf, instead he got Damiana young human blacksmith. Speaking in perfect Dwarvish, Damian explained he was from the dwraven clan Strongshield and that he was adopted into the clan being the youngest and only human in the clan. Heading to the tavern Damian waits for Gundren and the other hire hands.

Saravena was quite fortuitous to have come into contact with Gundren when she did, her latest purchases had deprived her coin purse of much of its weight. The golden hair elf tied her hair back, doubled check the fastenings of her weapons, then made her way to the meeting place to meet the others Gundren said he had hired.
Those that are already assembled cannot miss the arrival of Tagret, an eight foot high Goliath wrapped in furs, a great axe slung over his shoulder and a couple of vicious looking hand axes at his hips and a hardened look in his blue eyes. He, too, has accepted Gundren's invite, providing the muscle require to defend the shipment and enquires generally to the assorted adventurers in front of him "Well met strangers..." sizing each up for their potential during a fight "Gundren's contact told me to meet here. "Well met...," she replies shyly. She doubts it could be him, being that she was quite young when she was left alone in the forest. However, what is this feeling so sudden and new that has come over her at the sight of this giant of a man?

Upon hearing someone says Gundren's job, Rashana turns to the voice. She then slowly proceeds toward the group. "Hello! Are you all here for the escort?" She calmly asks.
Eniwin looks over he compatriots with a careful but gentle eye. This is the first time she has meet people outside Candlekeep. She's excited and starts jotting down notes in her notebook, descriptions of the people she has just met. "So then, is this everyone or does anyone know if we are waiting for more escorts?"

One of the group caught Saravena's interest the female goliath, Eniwin, who had the look of a scholar about her. She knew goliaths tend to prefer to become warriors, she had not heard of many goliaths taking the scholar's path. Saravena steps around to stand next to Eniwin.
"You are different, what is your story if you do not mind me inquiring?"

OOC: Tagret will have responded to Eniwin so apologies for the loss of chronology...
Surprised to see another of his kind, he stops and stares at Eniwin and a expression of remembered loss marks his features for a couple of seconds and then moves to obvious interest "I am Tagret...once of the" he stops himself from finishing then continues "...from the North. I have not seen a fellow Goliath in such a long time.....what events find you here...so far from home?" Although he does finish that with a look of some confusion, considering Eniwin does not really have the look of a hardened clanswoman

The supplies consist of sacks of flour, casks of salted pork, kegs of strong ale, shovels, picks and crowbars. Two oxen are ready to pull the wagon. However, the wagon is waiting for a driver.
Okay, I am going to let you decide who is going to be the driver and how the rest of you will be travelling. There is room to ride on the wagon, though some of you may want to walk alongside it, and maybe even have one or two scouts.
