Jenaer calmy seats himself behind the balista, musing to himself. “Well, well, who shall I set my sights on.” He rubs his hands together before aiming at the purple haired pixie. “I do hope there is something left of you.”
Not wanting another disastrous situation like last time, Theena tried to signal to the other ship that they meant no harm and to not attack; though she prepared to defend herself should her attempt fail
Action: Readied Action to fire at anyone who attempts to attack her- (Attack: 18 (Advantage (if applicable): 11), Damage: 7, Sneak Attack (if applicable): 5)
Bonus Action: - Stealth - 20
Reaction: If hit, she'll use her Skirmisher ability to get away and hide from the enemy that attacked her
Theena acts before Jenaer in the Initiative order, so that Bonus Action for stealth happens before the attack. I'll give Jenaer a Perception check to see if he can keep a bead on her, otherwise the stealth will keep him from being able to make the attack, otherwise that attack can be reassigned, since it happened after. Jenaer's Perception: 12
Theena's attack is going to miss regardless, and this isn't a sneak attack. Keep in mind that a Ready Action is a Reaction, so you can't also use your Reaction for Skirmisher.
Ok, Jenaer didn't have Theena as a target, which means Theena didn't fire and hasn't given away her location (I guess she's hidden behind a rigging bolt or something?).
Jenaer can reassign that attack. No need to reroll. Standing almost in the position Theena was is the albioni Kembe. Then there's the yellow lizard woman Druaz by the mastpipe, and the red elf Xial, holding onto the rigging.
ECLIPSE already posted his action for 16 in the Reaver's Word thread (in spoiler here, below).
(OOC: As previously stated, Eclipse performs daily while aboard, endowing the crew and himself with inspiration.)
"Crew! They don't have a pilot! I'm betting that if we're Nap of Earth, they're stupid enough to crash! Keep your eyes on 'em!"
Yelling at the opposing ship, "LET'S SEE YOU COME UNDER US NOW!" He throws the drophopper and the Reaver's Word falls toward the earth below, then pulls up nap of earth, gaining forward momentum from the elevation loss.
(OOC: As previously stated, Eclipse performs daily while aboard, endowing the crew and himself with inspiration. He'll use that now to not smash the ship into smithereens.)
Piloting (with advantage): 15

OOC: Before Eclipse does his piloting thing, Laitraxa will want launch off the ship and fly above. My turn will depend on if the DM allows that or if I'm stuck for the ride, since we have the same initiative. I'm also waiting on what the Xial does, but assuming I saw the ballista shot from the Sky, I have a plan.
OOC: Also apparently Theena tried to signal us? Was it like the Team America arm flailing scene before she hid?

(OOC: I had already posted my action before we transferred to this thread, before Theena's action above. So I copied & pasted above what I had already posted. But if Theena's signal is seen first, Eclipse will Ready the piloting action as a reaction to another attack from the Hungry Sky.)

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Since Theena used her action for other things, I didn't consider the attempt to signal to have an impact.
Here's where we're at so far;
Theena 19 - Hid
Jaener 18 - Fired the ballista. It hits Kembe squarely in the chest and carries him clear off the other side of the ship. For the tiniest fraction of a second his eyes meet Theena's, and then he's gone.
Xial 17 - Floundering to stay upright and draw a bow for a shot at Janaer. Acrobatics: 12, Bowshot:Attack: 23 Damage: 8
Eclipse 16 - Yells to the crew and drops the ship. Everyone without a Skyships proficiency on the ship needs an Athletics or Acrobatics check to stay upright.
Druaz 16 - Takes a mad running dive off the Hungry Sky, aiming for the Word. (As it's dropping, this will have disadvantage) 11
Latraxia 16 - Technically Wisdom breaks the ties, but since it's close I'll let you say you are in the air when the ship drops. That's movement, so you still have an action.
Laitraxa watches the carnage below... the albioni taking the heavy bolt through the chest and continuing off the ship at high speeds, she can do nothing about. The return fire, aimed at Jaener, seemed understandable. The fact that no one was at the ballista when they fired, and no one is at the helm of the ship as it maneuvers, however, that seemed odd.
Laitraxa focuses a moment, breathing air and life into the spark of fire in her belly, fanning the flames until it becomes a bonfire.
She dives at the lizard woman, smoke trailing from her nostrils, and attempts to catch her. Perhaps saving this hapless mortal will stop further hostilities. If not, well, that's what the fire is for.
Athletics 17
OOC: Still have a potential bonus action, waiting to see what occurs with this roll.
Scaly claws catch her, stifling a scream. She cranes her head around to look Laitraxa in the face and ventures, in Draconic, "Uh, j- well, uh, a-am I safe or just a different kind of dead now?"
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Unfurling her crimson and green wings to their full span as soon as she makes the catch, Laitraxa mutters to her in draconic, using what lift she has remaining to glide as high as she can. "Depends on your friends."
Laitraxa roars at the opposing crew, as her own begins to sail low and away. "CEASE THIS ATTACK AND SURRENDER, OR YOU WILL LOSE TWO FRIENDS TODAY!"
To punctuate the fact, she releases a narrow gout of flame, the projectile aiming at one of the ballista, fire trailing behind it.
The Hungry Sky, now only Xial and Theena on board, opens one side sail only, turning it's assent into a wing-over. As it does so it turns it's ascent into a dive again, spiraling down towards the Reaver's Word and making the pixie and the ruxalfier struggle not to vomit. The airflow has fanned the flames on the ballista, and spread them. By the top of the round the Sky is about 300 feet above the Reaver's Word, and just off the port side, pointed with it's prow downward. The non-burning ballista has re-armed itself.
The Reaver's Word is about 100 feet off the ground, with it's momentum carrying it forward. A terrified flock of goats is scattering in all directions, it's pair of worg shepherds unable to contain the charge's terror. A pair of broodhaulers trail the flock, and ahead, in the direction the lower ship is travelling, is a caravan of wagons wrapped in thorns and jagged red tribal markings. Everyone on the Reaver's Word is Skyship proficient, so everyone is on their feet after the drop.
High above, Laitraxa holds the yellow lizardwoman. (FYI, I usually assume a winged creature can dive at twice it's movement speed, or climb at half that. You can also choose to drop, uncontrolled, as a dash. Consecutive rounds of that will pick up speed [add %50 speed each round], but you'll need an athletics check to stop or turn, which will be a higher DC the faster you are going. Assume a 1 round dash is DC 10, with +3 to the difficulty every consecutive round. Once the DC hits 21, you're at terminal velocity.)
Top of the round, Theena's action.
Theena 19 - Hidden on the Sky, near the prow, now pointed downward.
Jaener 18 - At the ballista on the starboard side.
Xial 17 - On his back, sliding down the deck of the Sky.
Eclipse 16 - At the wheel of the Word.
Druaz 16 - Held by the dragon about 600ft above the Hungry Sky.
If people want, they can declare their action, or even several contingent possible actions, before their initiative. We can honor-system the potential metagaming. I'll also assume you didn't do anything that seems like an obviously bad idea based on information you didn't have.
Laitraxa watches the other ship dive away, flames licking off the deck. She keeps her wings flared wide in a controlled dive after it, but with her newest cargo does not go aggressively enough that she might not be able to control her descent or potentially drop the yellow-scaled woman.
Move + Action: Dash, steep controlled dive to keep up with the ships, headed towards the Reaver's Word.
OOC: With the distance both ships dropped to get to the surface quickly, and Laitraxa not wanting to risk dropping Druaz, I'm assuming I'm out of the fight for this round even with a dash.
As she flies, her frilled head pointed towards the Reaver's Word, she speaks to the woman clutched in her claws, the dragon providing the only protection between her and a long plummet down. Druaz looks up to a serpentine eye glancing at her. "You and your friends. Why did you attack us? And why do they continue, even as your life hangs in the balance?"
Unless you want to devote several rounds to it, yes, though so is she. If you want to rp in the mean time, feel free.
"It-we,we didn't! It's the ship! It'spossessedorevilorsomethingIthinkitatesomeofusormadethemdisappear!" she takes a breath, forcing control on herself, "We can't control it. We've been starving on it. I don't think we even knew your ship was there. I swear." She looks down briefly, then back up at Laitraxa "I, uh, my dad's like, an ocher dragonborn, so, uh, I'm like, dragon-, dragon- un, adjacent...." Then, under her breath, "...wow that sounds stupid out loud..."
Top of the order. You can post before your action if you like.
Theena 19 (A purple-haired pixie woman holding on to the front railing)
Jaener 18 (Human [Where are you exactly?])
Xial 17 (An androgynous Ruxalfier holding to the rigging on the starboard side of the Hungry Sky)
Eclipse 16 (Mawn at the wheel of the Reaver's Word)
Druaz 16 (A slender yellow lizard woman with her tail wrapped around the mastpipe of the Sky for support)
Latraxia 16 (Brass Dragon on the airbag of the Reaver's Word)
Kembe 9 (A plump albioni man holding the front railing of the Sky, next to the pixie)
Tyrod 7 (Near the railing of the Word)
Jenaer calmy seats himself behind the balista, musing to himself. “Well, well, who shall I set my sights on.” He rubs his hands together before aiming at the purple haired pixie.
“I do hope there is something left of you.”
Attack: 21 Damage: 19
