So, we have a party of a Ranger, a Paladin and a Moon Druid (no bar involved!) and I wanted to "give" them each a special magic item/weapon that would be cool for their character and that they would use and appreciate. I've figured out something for the Paladin and the Ranger, but what would be really good for a Moon Druid?

You haven't said what you are gettign the paladin or ranger or the player level so we don't know what sort of power of item you want beute a couple of ideas:
Amulet of health, should be easy to keep around the neck of most beast shapes for help with con saves and hit points
Insignia of claws, +1 "weapon" while wild shaped
Animated Shield: A shield you can use in wild shape form
Moon sickle: Not as good for a moon druid as other circles but in cncrease to spell save DC, attacks rolls ansd damage and bonus healing he great when you are not in WS.
Cloak of protection, I would think most beasts can wear a cloak and this makes them a bit harder to hurt ( the ring might be mor erestrictive regarding WS)
Cloak of displacement: (similar to the cloak of protection)
Any item that they can use while they’re wild shaped. Even though it sounds boring, Bracers of Defense are incredible for a Moon Druid! So are a number of other wearable items as long as you let the items resize when the Moon Druid Wild Shapes. A pair of linked silver rings that have Telepathy permanently cast on them so that the wearers of the rings can communicate telepathically would also be incredible and they’d be unique. You could have the Druid find one of them and then build an adventure around finding the other one!

Absolutely! A trouble with animated shield is that it only lasts for a minute and would then potentially become a burden. You're better off with Bracers of defence or a cloak of protection.

My DM asked me for a "wish list" of sorts for my Moon Druid. These are what I gave him:
Animated Shield - https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/animated-shield (Since it doesn't have to be held it can be used before Wildshaping and will continue to work while in wildshape)
Dragon Scale Mail - https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/dragon-scale-mail (Not metal armour, will be beneficial while not in Wildshape)
Staff of the Woodlandshttps://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/staff-of-the-woodlands (It's just a Druid thematic thing...)
Nature's Mantle - https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/natures-mantle (Can use it as a focus while wearing it? Yesplz)
Bag of Tricks - https://www.dndbeyond.com/magic-items/bag-of-tricks (Another thematic thing, but it has its uses.)
Any of the Tattoos from Tasha's would also work and RAW, afaik, would also continue to work in Wildshape.
Statistically, I believe cloak of displacement is one of the best defensive items for moon druid. Better than barrier tattoo or items of protection.
