I have a few questions that came up between me and my DM when I was playing my Circle of Wildfire Druid.
When you summon the Wildfire Spirit can you attack with it on the same turn it is summoned?
Is there a specific place that the spirit goes when it isn't summoned?
and if I cast Summon Wildfire Spirit when the spirit is damaged does it come back with full health, or is it still at the same health it was when it was damaged?
You summon it as an action and can command it (such as to attack) with your bonus action.
I guess it may just be flavour to say where the spirit may go between times so anything your DM approves may be good.
The feature says that "The spirit manifests ..., until you use this feature to summon the spirit again," which is something you might only do if the spirit resummoned in a less damaged form.
1.) Summoning the Wildfire Spirit (Action) can be used as an attack (it deals AoE damage when it manifests) and then you can use your Bonus Action to command it immediately. Short answer: Yes
2.) RAW, no. Being that it is an Elemental I could see it returning to the Elemental Plane of Fire.
3.) Summoning the Wildfire Spirit uses a Wildshape. It would be really crap design if you used a Wildshape to summon a 4/30hp spirit. Similarly to how a Moon Druid can Wildshape whilst already in a Wildshape and take the new form at its maximum health, the Wildfire Spirit can be resummoned even if it's already summoned (it gets dismissed and immediately resummoned) and it is always summoned at full health. Short answer: When summoned its health is full
