Hi, I've made a hill dwarf druid who has some resemblance to Santa, and really want him to be a support, but don't mind being defensive. I really don't know what circle to play as, so any suggestions?

My hill dwarf druid went Circle of Land. After careful consideration I thought the Circle of Moon would be too limiting and pretty much force him into a tank role I didn't really care for. I'll he honest that I didn't even have Xanathar's Guide at the time, but even after reading those options I still really like Land. He is a full fledged spell caster with lots of great support spells. The region you choose can give you access to spells you would not normally have, plus have them permanently memorized. I can still used Beast shape to scout and if push comes to shove I can barkskin up and go in to HtH. While support was my main goal (I am also the defacto healer in the group) It is one of the nicer classes to step in and fill many many different roles if the need arises.
If you want to go full on support, take a good hard look at Circle of the Shepherd. It's got a lot of features that skew towards summoning, but the rest of the features build towards supporting those summons, and by extension the rest of the party.
Assuming you get semi-regular access to short rests, the amount of hp that you can churn out thanks to spirit totem varies from impressive (bear) to obscene (unicorn).
