It may be the old RPGA convention they used to have in the TSR days. They called it Winter Fantasy,.

Barovia is where Strahd rules, from the Ravenloft books.

The first Ravenloft book was published in 1983, so it makes sense that they would have some convention in 1986 related to Ravenloft.
