Can some DM's please answer a question for me, please?
If we have in our party a Druid who summons a Wildfire Spirit, a Warlock who uses the Darkness spell and the Wildfire Spirit enters the Darkness spell does it negate the darkness? Please give us your opinions.
Both things in question are posted below for your convenience.

Summon Wildfire Spirit
At 2nd level, you can summon the primal spirit bound to your soul. As an action, you can expend one use of your Wild Shape feature to summon your wildfire spirit, rather than assuming a beast form.
The spirit appears in an unoccupied space of your choice that you can see within 30 feet of you. Each creature within 10 feet of the spirit (other than you) when it appears must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC or take 2d6 fire damage.
The spirit is friendly to you and your companions and obeys your commands. See this creature's game statistics in the Wildfire Spirit stat block, which uses your proficiency bonus (PB) in several places. You determine the spirit's appearance. Some spirits take the form of a humanoid figure made of gnarled branches covered in flame, while others look like beasts wreathed in fire.
In combat, the spirit shares your initiative count, but it takes its turn immediately after yours. The only action it takes on its turn is the Dodge action, unless you take a bonus action on your turn to command it to take another action. That action can be one in its stat block or some other action. If you are incapacitated, the spirit can take any action of its choice, not just Dodge.
The spirit manifests for 1 hour, until it is reduced to 0 hit points, until you use this feature to summon the spirit again, or until you die.
Darkness
Magical darkness spreads from a point you choose within range to fill a 15-foot-radius sphere for the duration. The darkness spreads around corners. A creature with darkvision can’t see through this darkness, and nonmagical light can’t illuminate it. If the point you choose is on an object you are holding or one that isn’t being worn or carried, the darkness emanates from the object and moves with it. Completely covering the source of the darkness with an opaque object, such as a bowl or a helm, blocks the darkness. If any of this spell’s area overlaps with an area of light created by a spell of 2nd level or lower, the spell that created the light is dispelled.
I'll start the fiery debate on this topic. (pun intended)
At my table, I would rule that the Spirit entering the area of magical darkness would not dispel the darkness. Reasoning: the Summon Wildfire Spirit is not a spell, but a feature of your druidic sub-class. In the darkness description, it states that "If any of this spell’s area overlaps with an area of light created by a spell of 2nd level or lower, the spell that created the light is dispelled." So by virtue of the Spirit not being a spell, it would not negate said darkness. Additionally, the only light spells that would negate darkness, IIRC, are 3rd level and higher like Daylight.

I have read the text for the Summon Wildfire Spirit ability, and also the stat block for the Wildfire Spirit itself and nowhere can I see that it gives out light, so the answer is no.
Kaavel is right! And remember, the level of Darkness or Daylight spell you use doesn’t impact it’s ability to dispel. For example, upcasting Darkness will not dispel Magical Light 3rd level or higher, and upcasting Daylight will not dispel Magical Darkness 4th level or higher.
If a Daylight Spell meets an upcasted 4th level Darkness spell, neither are dispelled when their effects come into contact.
Other spells that have Darkness features at higher level have varying potency, like Hallow, which will dispel higher-level Magical Light/Darkness based on its upcasted level.
Let's also make sure we conversely note that Darkness would in know way extinguish the Wildfire spirit ... any more than it would a fire Genasi. What you would have is fire under the cover of darkness ... darkness which could become pretty painful if entered.
Wildfire spirit isn't a spirit of light, its a spirit of fire. I don't magical darkness extinguishes nonmagical fire either, it just obscures it.
The Wildfire spirit does not emit light at all. There is no indication anywhere in the text that the spirit is lit up - only that it will do fire damage when summoned. Fire is not light. Darkness itself will dispel light sources from spells of second level or lower. Other spells indicate that they can dispel darkness. Wildfire spirit contains NO text of any sort indicating that it emits light or would dispel darkness. As a result, a wildfire spirit has NO effect on an area of magical Darkness.

Agreed. Darkness would not be negated.

This issue sounds familiar.
Darkness is Darkness, and the fire spirit doesn't make light. So neither of them are canceled or suspended.
