So I recreated an Encounter similar to one that was in an AL Epic from tier 4 and tweaked it a little bit to make it more challenging. It is a Ancient Red Dragon, mind controlled by an Illithich. As the Party approaches they hear a single clear jubilant Note ring out from a wind instrument. The party soon encounters 17 Berserkers summoned from an Iron Horn of Valhalla, surrounding and protecting their Illithilich Master, and its pet Ancient Red Dragon (dominated to the Illithilichs will). The illithiich can engage with Psionics and Magic while the Berserkers are protecting it, and the Dragon softens the party up by Flyby Breath Weapons, Wing Buffets, legendary actions and Lair actions with the occassional Grapple of the squishy wizard or rogue, followed by flying high and dropping them. Let me know what you think.
Two forms actually. Dndbeyond is celebrating its 4th birthday this week and one of the ways to win one of the bundles was yesterday to post an encounter using the encounter builder on the forums. But in truth in doing so I was also hoping for feedback on the encounter. I thought it was particularly dastardly
