I think it's a more interesting fight if they you keep the structure from the regular vargouille in which they use a stun and then try to apply the curse to a vulnerable player. To do that I would make horrific reflection ability stun the same way shriek does. Essentially the variant would have a single target stun + damage instead of the area stun of the normal version.

page 52 the abyssal Curse requires incapacitated condition. Very few things give that. I am going to ignore the requirement.
