I'm a newer DM. My group is about to finish up Dragon Heist and we are about to start Dungeon of the Mad Mage. I was looking at the Dungeon History in the module and I'm wondering if it's ok to read that word for word to the players so they get some more backstory.
I'm still reading through the book to get familiar with it before we start playing but I wanted to check with others who may have already run this to see if it spoils anything.
Maybe not word for word, but if you just paraphrase it so that it sounds more like something they would have learned elsewhere, that would work. I don't remember there being anything very spoilery in the history.

I'll for sure skip over the info about the Weave.
