Apologies if I am obtuse and just missed this in the Monster Manual or through my searches here,
but how long do giants live? Dragons (their oft-natural enemy) can live for thousands of years. Are their dragons and giants around that still remember their
initial battles? (in a forgotten realms setting)
Thanks and apologies again if this is a dumb question that has been answered and I just plain missed it.

"An' things ha' come to a pretty pass, ye ken, if people are going to leave stuff like that aroound where innocent people could accidentally smash the door doon and lever the bars aside and take the big chain off'f the cupboard and pick the lock and drink it!"
It generally follows the Ordning, with storm giants having one of the longest lifespans, and hill giants the shortest. Stone giants being the exception, since they're whole schtick is built around being static and unchanging.

"What do you mean I get disadvantage on persuasion?"
I don't know, Sneet, maybe because your argument is "Submit and become our pet"?
For the FR setting the answer to “ are there any dragons or giants around that actually lived through the dragon- giant wars the basic answer is no. That war occurs between the fall of the creator races (@-30,000 DR) and the rise of the elves (@-26,000 DR). So bless you posit some incredibly ancient dracolich version of Larloch hiding away somewhere ven for dragons the stories have faded into legends and myths.

(I couldn’t find it broken down by kind in any other places)
Volo's Guide to Monsters Pages 18 - 33 has a veritable trove of information on Giants.
The page in question for their ages is 22

-Actual conversation in a game.
And for anyone who was interested as I was, they age at a rate about 1/4 humans. Meaning, they would reach adulthood at about 72 years old.
Thank you.
