Hey, I'm a new DM and It'll be my first time running a one shot with my friends, problem is, I don't have an idea for a one shot. I've looked online and non have really peaked my interest. Does anyone have any interesting ideas or one shots that you have already played? Plz and Thank u
Do you got a level set? You could steal any of the adventures from Candlekeep mysteries, or Journey through the Radiant Citadel. I've ran a few of the Candlekeep ones, most are fun. Price of beauty was a good one.
Honestly the most fun one shot I played in was when the dm took the last battle in tyranny of dragons, letting us roll up high level characters. Ended with fighting Tiamat. That was fun, if a bit crunchy combat hehe.
As Veth13 said, Candlekeep Mysteries has several short adventures that would make for great one-shots. I've been running them as part of a larger campaign, but depending on how quickly your party goes through puzzles and finding clues, they could easily be made into one-shots.
I also played a fight against Tiamat as a one-shot that went really well.
