Hello! Could someone recommend a 1 shot starting adventure for me? I can not seem to locate the level guides for the adventures on the website here and am starting my players out at level 2 (2 of them are totally new to D&D) and i want to run them all through a 1 shot adventure to help get them accustom to the game. Thank you!
Lost Mine of Phandelver is one of the starter set adventures for levels 1-5. It's free to download here, or at least it was when I got it. You should be able to search the library and find it. It might be easier in the app.
The first cave is a really good start for new players. It presents them with a lot of different aspects of exploring a dungeon. It gives them a lot of options for where to go and how to approach problems.
But be careful, because it can also be really deadly depending on the size of the party and their experience with the game. It's easy to understand for new players, but it's pretty dangerous if they don't approach the encounters very carefully. A party of 3 level 1 characters can have a very tough time. A party of 5 will find it much easier.
I think you could run it at level 2 without any changes at all and they will have a good time. (For level 1 I usually suggest lowering the number of monsters or their HP). The other starter sets are good, but they don't have the same kind of dungeon that works so well standalone as this one.
I think the Spelljammer Academy adventure is also free. It's good, but focused more on exploring the school at first, and might not be what you want thematically.
I'm sorry I don't have any other suggestions for a low level one shot. There are probably a lot of free ones around the internet. Good luck! I hope you all have a lot of fun.
I highly recommend Matt Colville's "Lets Make an Adventure" (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTD2RZz6mlo&t=324s). Matt gives a master class in making exactly the kind of thing you're asking for and lets you use all the materials. Seriously just watch the video and run that adventure, you'll be all set.

Oooh, I get to help someone out by linking someone a one-shot that I made! The Captured Sage is a one or two-shot for level 2 adventurers that I made for the tenth iteration of the Competition of the Finest Brews. The one-shot involves a journey through a vast and dangerous woods to free a missing sage. It could potentially turn into a two-shot though if things took a bit longer than expected, so I gave some advice HERE on how to make sure it doesn't last longer than you want it to.
And I really am sorry since I know I am loudly tooting my own horn, but when I saw that you wanted to run a one-shot that fit the exact level span of the best one-shot I had made, I couldn't help but link it.

Lost Mine of Phandelver seemed to be the best choice to start off an adventure for my party, but they slightly enjoyed it... (check out my thread.)
I highly suggest the campaign Lost Mine of Phandelver.

BoringBard's long and tedious posts somehow manage to enrapture audiences. How? Because he used Charm Person, the #1 bard spell!
He/him pronouns. Call me Bard. PROUD NERD!

HERE.I just read through the whole thing. That looks like a really fun little one shot. Nice work, BoringBard!
Thank you :) I put a lot of time, thought, and work into that adventure. It means a lot to me to see it is appreciated.
PS - I see you lurking there, Yondor ;)

Thanks :) Hags in general are great, and I had a lot of fun making Bloody Cackle and writing her personality traits, ideal, bonds, and flaws.
