Currently thinking of a pirate themed campagin. A pirate, infamous for his crew dying within the first few days of an expedition, calls out to the all of the PC's hometown for a new crew. The party is a few of the many crazy enough to climb on board.
Do campaigns need titles? I always figured that the party kinda chooses the title, if/when they get a name for their group.

Look at what you've done. You spoiled it. You have nobody to blame but yourself. Go sit and think about your actions.
Don't be mean. Rudeness is a vicious cycle, and it has to stop somewhere. Exceptions for things that are funny. Go to the current Competition of the Finest 'Brews! It's a cool place where cool people make cool things.

Most of the time, I start my campaigns with a single noun as a sort of codename that indicates a theme, like "Caste" or "Hypolimnion", but the party will give it an official name as it goes one based on their experiences.

Any ideas?

It's a little hard to come up with titles without knowing where the campaign is headed or what the main threat is, but I'll give it a shot:
Lost Souls
Voyage of the Vanished
Uncharted Waters
Black Flag Adventures
[Name of ship]
Captain Swagger's Splendid Sailors
Knowing the tone you want to set will help, too. Because if you are running a silly campaign, "Polly Want A Cracker?" might do the trick...
Maybe "All Overboard..." might do the trick as well.
"Because we Rrrrrrrrrrrrrr"
- but, to be honest, I leave it to the players to decide the name of the campaign.
