This time of year, it's always fun to run miniature adventures and one shots for Halloween. I have a friend who also DMs and loves the old Ravenloft setting (has tons of the old books from 2nd edition,, including an entire book just on the Vistani) and I recently listened to a DnD Lore podcast with Chris Perkins about the Domains of Dread and got inspired! So I created a little adventure in a small DoD known as Hollow. I imagine you all can guess who the Dark Lord may be. (As a hint: The only way to escape the realm is to travel the road night and cross a covered bridge).
Anyway, I ran part of the adventure last night. The players haven't escaped yet and we're hoping to finish things out in a week or two when we can get back together, but it we had a lot of fun! The best part was, as the Mists rolled up around them, they thought they knew where they were going, until they found themselves facing a different kind of villain. What about all of you? Do any of you have any Halloween adventures planned or have you created any Dread Domains of your own you'd like to share?
