This has to do with the wererats that are in the party, as well as those in Blingdenstone. My proposed rules are as follows:
- following rules only apply in beast or hybrid form. This is a curse, not a blessing that requires you to chug drow venom one night a month to avoid side effects.
- the damage immunity becomes resistance. The werebeast gains regeneration which can be offset by hitting it with silver or a critical hit.
- Remove Curse, inspired by the Ravenloft curses, will suppress the condition for 24 hours. Curing it is much harder. This must be done by learning a specific variant of Remove Curse (possibly in one of the spellbooks dropped by the Pudding King) which must be cast at 4th level and requires material components. This version must be cast at the onset of the full moon. For born wererats, it must be cast as a 6th level spell (Wish seems like overkill).
Looks interesting. I do like the remove curse spell changes, makes the curse more dangerous rather than an easy fix, I’m playing CoS and with remove curse it’s like what’s the point?
you might consider looking at the bloodhunter lycan subclass? There rules for playing a werewolf that are a bit neutered to prevent it being too strong. One thing it has is will save’s after taking too much damage to remain in control
