one of my players recently brought up an idea he has (about to multiclass) and he’s wondering if he can take an extra fighting style at level 2 of his new class.
Hes a Ranger, and he wants to multiclass into a blood hunter. Does he get to take a second fighting style? Obviously he won’t be taking the same one twice. The rules state that you can’t take another one, but DND beyonds character creator lets you.
I’m a little confused as to say he can or can’t. So any advice is nice.
You can't take the same Fighting Style twice. You can, however, take multiple different Fighting Styles, such as Archery and Defense, if you somehow get to choose multiple times. A fighter 1/paladin 2/ranger 2, for instance, would have three Fighting Styles.
