No. It does not transfer. You’d need to buy it there to use it there. Or just flip between tabs. There’s an extension so you can roll on beyond, and the roll will transfer over. It works well, but it is not officially supported.
Dndbeyond is working on their own VTT, but there hasn’t been much announced about it for a while. I think it’s still due out next year.
Roll20 for me and my players has worked out very well. I create monster tokens will all their stats just copying and pasting from the materials I own. We've never had issues keeping characters and book on Beyond and adventures on Roll20.
