In my campaign, one of the PCs is a Blood Hunter (Order of the Lycan) and has chosen a tiger, so he is a weretiger. One of the recurring NPCs is a werebear priestess of Selune. The party has had a long history with this NPC and were involved in a confrontation of Selune and her sister Shar from levels 1-12. Blood Hunter and cleric had sex and I want the cleric to get pregnant as a future story hook. My question is how I would handle the lycanthropy of the child. I am not sure if it should be a bear, a tiger, or (and this is what I am leaning towards) some sort of shifter who could be either.
It could always be neither. The curse didn’t pass on, now what do they do with a “normal” kid.
It could be both, flitting between the two, until it hits puberty, when it will have to hold a mystical ritual to choose one or the other — let the PC try to influence the decision.
It could be both, and stay both. A child born of two lines. The prophecy is fulfilled!

Thanks! It will be at least one, but I haven't decided how to play this out. Thank Tymora it hasn't been born yet.

Any thoughts on what would make this cool?
