So I run my games in the Forgotten Realms but I have started to adapt some of the old-school material I have from way back when to this campaign setting. I would like to drop The Village of Hommlet into the realms but I am not entirely sure where it would fit. I do not want to replace another town, city, or village with Hommlet rather I want to add it in. Have you done this in your campaigns? Where did you put it and do you care to share why you put it there?
Hommlet, like its name suggests, is an insignificant place, in and of itself. The only interesting thing about Hommlet is that the Cult of Elemental Evil built a temple nearby. Decide where you want to put that, and Hommletb is right nearby, too small to be bothered with on a map.
I've placed it just Southeast of Daggerford, pretty much south of Secomber. I chose that location though specifically so the party can eventually progress to the City of Splendors.

Thanks and happy gaming!

Maybe somewhere in the Desserin Valley?
