I was disappointed to see no lyrics for the dwarven lovesong "Your Beardy Face" since it's one of the keys to the Vault of Dragons.
So here's my version: It's sung to the tune of "Sweet Caroline."
“Your Beardy Face” Words by Braun Heimhammer Music by Neal Diamondforge
Where it began, I can't begin to knowing But then I know it's growing strong Was in the spring Then spring became the summer Who'd have believed it’d grow so long
Beards, touching beards Reaching out, touching me, touching you
Your beardy face Good beards never grew so good I'd be inclined To believe they never would
But now I Look at the mine and it don't seem so lonely We filled it up with only two And when I smite Power flows out my shoulders But how can I smite when holding you
Beards, touching beards Reaching out, touching me, touching you
Your beardy face Good beards never grew so good I'd be inclined To believe they never would Oh no, no Your beardy face Good beards never grew so good Your beardy face
10/27/2022 EDIT: Apparently this has become quite popular. Someone even made a Karaoke video out of it, which you can also use. Thank you, Andrew Clark on Youtube!
5/5/2024 EDIT: Now I have found a group actually uploaded a video of them singing the song on Reddit. Amazing how far this has gone.
I actually located an instrumental bagpipe version of Sweet Caroline on youtube and made my players hire a dwarven NPC band and sing this song to open the Vault.

That's amazing! So nice to hear.
I couldn't get any of my players to sing it. *sigh*
But at least your group enjoyed my parody!

Blood Frenzy. The quipper has advantage on melee attack rolls against any creature that doesn't have all its hit points.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +5 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 piercing damage.
Before I got the lyrics, and the proposed tune, part of my brain started filling in withLady Gaga's "Poker Face"
...
Can't shave my Can't shave my No she can't shave my Beardy face (long & full like nobody's) Can't shave my Can't shave my No she can't shave my Beardy face (shave it down for nobody)
B b b Beardy face, B b b Beardy face (Muh muh muh muh) B b b Beardy face, B b b Beardy face (Muh muh muh muh)
...
I think that could be an interesting ( and more contemporary ) version ;)

Not familiar with that song. I actually had a couple other ideas, but Sweet Caroline is one of the few tunes that literally everyone knows.

Literally sat playing with friends this weekend, our monk and bard (me) took over a pub performing just this to sweet Caroline. (Performance roles combined of 49) We had every drunk dwarf in the pub yelling out with us, just as most do IRL with sweet Caroline. We only got as far as the iconic line however so to my surprise searching 'my beardy face' this morning, this was the first post. Lyrics are great, now to learn it on guitar!
Im the DM for our group and we are about to start into the encounters phase. I am totally bookmarking this! I dont suppose anyone has the link for the bagpipe instrumental of sweet Caroline? :D

Thank you so much for your creativity
You're welcome. I'm just ecstatic that people enjoy it so much.
Oh boy. My players are on the way to the vault now. Bottled tune of your beardy face in tow. I’m going to have to try and sing this lol. Well done!
I threw in a nod to my Tomb of Annihilation campaign that two of my Waterdeep players are in. This version is sung by Urmmek Ironhold. A dwarf barbarian played by the warlock in my Waterdeep campaign.

This is the funniest way to swing this. My D&D group had a BLAST singing this at the top our lungs with your lyrics and this recording. Thank you for this! :)

My goodness, that's awesome! I can't believe how well people have responded to my lyrics! So pleased.
In fact, I googled "Your Beardy Face Lyrics" just to see what came up, and found someone took the time to make a full karaoke video out of it. Wasn't me. They gave me credit too. Just wow.
THIS! THIS! I came here specifically to see if anyone had put some content to the concept. You win the Internets- for the lyrics, all of you for the contact high. Huzzah!

The funny thing is, the Bard in our group for the dragon heist book, has bagpipes. Such a funny coincidence.
I don't think it's supposed to have lyrics, because it is a bagpipe duet. you can do whatever you want though.
DM: Dragon of Icespire Peak PbP
I will sing the entire thing for my party when they get the band
The fact that this has been used by people brings me such joy. Thanks for letting me know!

Here's a "great" rendition of Sweet Caroline on bagpipes:

I like bagpipes, but there's a real reason why the English classified the bagpipes as a weapon of war...

Your Beardy Face Sung horribly
I sang it for a minute. It is horrible. Feel free to use it.
I take no credit but the bad singing. I "stole" Quipper's lyrics and Andrew Clark's original youtube video for the karaoke.
