Hi! im quite new to this so please be patient. I have an idea where for my new group (me DMing and I have 3 players) I want to have an outline of a campaign. Why an outline? because I want improv character interactions, weapon making, and stuff like that. Could someone refer me to an outline or a full campaign for 3 players? and please provide a link and a summary of it. I'm wanting to do this for the summer :). just for context, were all 15 so we can do more adult stuff
While most published campaigns assume 4-5 players, most can be scaled easily enough for a party of three. If fun character interaction and light crafting interest you, consider picking up Waterdeep: Dragon Heist here on DDB or get a physical copy from a local store. It has some smaller scale adventure that can be eased into and also has a bit of base management along with a load of fun neighborhood NPCs to interact with to fulfill your other needs.

"The mongoose blew out its candle and was asleep in bed before the room went dark." —Llanowar fable
My advice would be to take Dragon of Icespire Peak, rip out all the NPCs and keep the quest board structure. You then have the battlemaps, locations, and quests. You can make up the NPCs and and other aspects.
This will help especially if you're new to the hobby.
The Big Picture A white dragon have moved into the area and has chased Orcs and other creatures down the mountains. It is threatening the area.
The Individual Quests Warn NPCs at the Dwarven Excavation Warn the potion maker who lives nearby Escort an NPC to a nearby mine Transport supplies to a logging camp Retrieve a magic item from a gnome settlement Secure a nearby fortress Deal with the evil spellcasters in the nearby woods.
As you can see if you strip away the flavour and all the stuff you want to improv - you've got a great starting point.
Once you've done this with one published adventure you can manage it with any adventure, but I think Dragon of Icespire Peak lends itself best to what you're looking to do.
