I had one going where a group of human extremists who were angry about the fall of the Galifar line kidnapped an heir to House Lyrandar, to use his Mark to power a superweapon to attack Sharn with. It started with the players all in a middle-of-nowhere kind of place waiting for an airship (all for their own reasons), when instead it came crashing down after it was attacked and one of the pilots (the heir) abducted.
In the rubble (after they had to fight the fire elemental that was set free in the crash), they found an eagle statue carved from a large Siberys dragonshard, and several of the extremists doubled back to the wreckage to search for it. They fought, the leader retreated, and then it was kind of a race to see who could make it back to Sharn first from the easternmost border of the Talenta plains.
We haven't finished it yet cause we took a break to do another campaign, but so far they've had to befriend a tribe of mistrusting halflings, recover stolen delkyr weapons for a Dwarven sherif, outrun a dinosaur stampede, and solve a train murder mystery. I'm planning on wrapping it up with a giant robot fight.

Do you have any ideas for eberon campaigns?
