Hello I'm relatively new to dnd, but I love writing and creating so I thought I'd put some of my ideas out there.
This was made with my own opinions adjust how you see fit. I did not come up with this fully on my own and used references from other sources from this site and other places to make it.
Dragon Scale Shield
Armor (scale mail), rare (requires attunement)
The average cost of the shield varies depending on how rare dragons are in your world and whether or not it’s an enchanted version. A normal shield would probably cost somewhere around (provided you supply the scales) 1000-1500 GP, an enchanted version would cost anywhere between 2000-3100 GP. The price should be given to your DMs discretion.
This shield like others gives a +2 bonus to your AC other than that it does nothing for attacks, as a reaction you can brace the shield against an attack gain an additional +1 bonus to AC, and have resistance to one damage type that is determined by the kind of a dragon that provided the scales.
Enchanted
You can focus your senses as an action to magically discern the distance and direction to the closest dragon of the type of armor within 15 miles of you. This special action can't be used again until the next dawn. You have an advantage on saving throws against the Frightful Presence and breath weapons of dragons, and you have
Dragon Teath-made weapons
Due to the resilience and strength that is needed in a dragon's bones the standard damage die by 1. Based on the age of the dragon the tooth was harvested from, the damage gets an increase if forged properly. Young or older can make +1, Adult +2, Ancient +3. A failed attempt to make a +3 weapon could result in a +2, or a +1 on a natural 1. A failed attempt to make a +2 could make a +1 or nothing on a natural 1. A failed attempt to make a +1 item makes nothing.
Dragon Teath-made weapons are already considered magical, but if enchanted further and correctly could have the Color damage brought back to them, in the form of 1d8 color damage.
For example, Ancient dragon teeth weapons.
Javelin - 1d8+3 piercing damage, plus 1d8 colour damage if enchanted
Dagger - 1d6+3 piercing damage, plus 1d8 colour damage if enchanted
Spear - 1d8+3 piercing damage, plus 1d8 colour damage if enchanted
For larger weapons that's where a talented smith will require dragon bones (longswords, etc.)
For smaller ammunition, dragon scales will probably work well - so 1 ancient dragon scale will make a single +3 to hit, and +3 to damage, with colour damage arrow/bolt/dart.
If you don’t know where I am, I’m either sleeping or roleplaying. If I’m doing neither of those things, except the worst. (Do not actually expect the worst) If you need to talk then PM me. Head Acolyte of The Tree Cult.

Helm of scales very rare costs 3200 - 6500 depending on seller (requires attunement by homebrew Druid, Ranger or dragonkin.)
Have attuned players roll for property
1-3 use an action to summon a pseudodragon
4-6 telepathically speak with the closest dragon to you
7-11 for 5 minutes use an action to gain a fly speed of 40
12-15 use an action to grow scales for 10 minutes and increase armor class by 3
16-19 use an action to use a breath weapon of any damage type
20 when under 5 hit points use a reaction to summon either dragon god.
Lightning flashes, it creates ash. The ash forms a human.
