Hello. I'm about to start the Vecna campaign for my group and am just looking for any tips from anyone who's run this campaign before. I have DM'd a few one-shots, but never a full campaign. I'm really looking forward to this, but am just looking for some tips, tricks or advice. Thanks all.
If you have the time, I would recommend changing to a lower level campaign. A party of lvl 10 PCs have a ton of firepower and abilities. It can be quite an undertaking to be familiar with these things while running the campaign when you are new. Being a GM is a big deal and keeping track of everything is hard work. If you are playing face to face or via zoom or somesuch there is a TON of pressure to get most of the things right.
If you are committed, then go for it. Make sure you familiarize yourself with everything your PCs can do. Don't have to memorize it just be aware.
Just saying that lower levels can be just as rewarding and easier to manage.
