I restarted a campaign I ran with the old 2014 rules with the new 2024 rules. One of the benefits I offered was being able to take a rarer language depending on your species or where you were in the world (and thus could use your background to justify it).
I have a player who should be able to have the infernal language (they are a tiefling it is the default language of their country) who is unable to take it or have me give it to them. Is there anyway or is this a bug I need to report in the bug thread?

It's not a bug; the 2024 rules changed how languages are granted and Infernal is no longer considered a common language that you can start with.
However, you can add any language you want to a character at any time from the custom proficiencies sidebar on the character sheet. Just click on the gear icon at the bottom of the "Proficiencies & Training" section, which will open the sidebar; then in the "Add New Proficiencies" section at the top, select "Language" from the drop-down, then select Infernal.
I figured it was something in the rules, but even when my husband runs a Theros campaign (which also limits languages) they as the DM was able to add uncommon languages to the sheets in the edit section. Thanks for the work around for now, I wish there was a way to add known languages for when homebrew allows.
