So, here's the situation. A powerful Sorceress (17-level caster) and her minions have captured my entire party. She is holding them for at least a day while she questions them individually. The party consists of some melee fighters, but a couple of clerics, a druid, and a sorcerer as well. Everyone is 6th-level. The Sorceress needs to ensure that no spellcasting shenanigans can happen. This means removing their ability to use their spells, even their verbal-only spells. This can be done with manacales, stripping them of their equipment, and gagging them. But is there a more elegant solution?

"If you get to thinkin' you're a person of some influence, try orderin' somebody else's dog around."
The classic solution for this kind of thing is something similar to the spell Antimagic Field, which just completely inhibits the ability for anyone to cast any spells in its area of effect. It seems reasonable for a high-level NPC villain to have the ability to keep a field like this on a designated area for a long period if they had time to prepare.
Do you want an elegant solution or do you want it more thuggish? Do you have an end game reason for doing this? Why would a high level bad girl capture a party of 6 level? That end game answer might assist you in the way to lean.
Having said the above, being put in to a room with anti magic and silence etc. is the most elegant. But does the party give a reason to receive/be elegant? Back to the 6th level. Why would the party even be captured as they are not a high enough level to matter to the big bad sorceress.
This can be done with manacales, stripping them of their equipment, and gagging them. But is there a more elegant solution?
Don't forget also blindfolding them so they can't do anything against a target/ within a point they can see.
Depending on your baddy, elegance might not be what you're going for. That kind of brutality of like, manacling casters in intricate devices that hold each individual finger in place and stuff, could send a message about your villain.
Otherwise you could just use like, the magic-dampening bracers from the D&D movie and call it a day for simplicity.
