I am a DM with moderate IRL experience, and having started a campaign in person am now moving online, I will be using dnd beyond built in campaign to organize my players as they have all created there characters in the system.
I built a character on my profile for one of my players who has no experience in dnd. is there a way of adding that character into the campaign ? or giving that character to another user ? or do i need to remake it with them?
It's a bit round about but fairly easy. If you go into the campaign you'll see the join campaign link, the same one you give the players so they can join. If you use it yourself (even though it's your campaign) you'll be given the option to join with a character you've created. Choose the one you want. Then go back into the campaign and you'll see all the characters, including hopefully the one you want to pass across. Under them you'll see an option to unassign. If you click that the character will be left in your campaign but won't belong to any player. Once all that's done your new player can click the join link and will see your character with an option to claim it. If they click that it'll be transferred to their control.
