I'm running a campaign where the current villain is a tribe of demon-worshipping goblins. The characters are in a swamp and they're trying to eliminate an ally of the goblins, but I'm not sure where to go after that. I want them to have a few options to move forward, and one of mine is that they can become allies with a tribe of kobolds to help them defeat the goblins, but I'm having a bit of Dm's block and I can't come up with anything else, do y'all have anymore ideas?
Thanks!

He doesn't have much besides the skin on his bones. Me: I'll take the skin on his bones, then.

You mentioned that in your last session, the players/characters are trying to eliminate an ally of the Goblin's. Have the players mentioned any plans for how they are going to eliminate said ally? If so, you can use that info to help build out what they will run into or what situations are next.
I assume that they know the Goblins are a tribe that worships demons.
What have the players mentioned that THEY want to do?
I'm not sure of the play style at your table, so it's a little hard to just jump in and give ideas without knowing more.
Maybe a Demon doesn't like that they took out the mentioned ally and comes through a portal to investigate, so now the players are being hunted while trying to take down the Goblin Tribe, but they don't know it.
Are the Goblins worshiping a specific Demon? If so, maybe that said Demon has other, non-Goblin Worshipers that come into the picture.
Just some random ideas... but be careful of forcing the players into a very specific path, let them play, and listen to what they discuss and it might just give you ideas for what comes next.

Breathe, dragons; sing of the First World, forged out of chaos and painted with beauty. Sing of Bahamut, the Platinum, molding the shape of the mountains and rivers; Sing too of Chromatic Tiamat, painting all over the infinite canvas. Partnered, they woke in the darkness; partnered, they labored in acts of creation.
Goblins are self interested in nature. with enough gold, any lower level member could be convinced to betray the tribe and give the party their next lead.

Having fun? I would hope so. Lets see how much fun you're having after the lich starts dipping into it's 1/day spell slots.
Yes I'm aware my username is completely awful, just do your best to ignore it.
They choose to go after the ally, and they don't have much of a plan yet. The demon they're worshipping is one of my own creation, called Grolka, the Undefied. The goblins eventual goal is to free the demon from a prison they are trapped in, a cocoon woven out of some sort of magical fiber. I have dropped a few hints so far and plan to drop more (prisoners, letters, etc). I just need some ideas to give them options of paths they can take after the swamp. Extra quests and stuff.

They could have a mine that feeds their operations that the ally reveals before he dies
Your goblin tribe of demon worshippers: define them a lot more. What demon do they worship, what form of worship do they use, prayers, sacrifice, do they wage war collect souls. Are they seeking a way to bring their patron to the material plane, what is the demons plan for the goblins. They can be searching for relics of power, combing the swamps for hidden secrets to help further their demon's goals.
Are they gathering slaves to sacrifice? If so then your party can be real heroes and free people from the menace. If the goblins are looking for relics the players can beat them to it, but the players cant be everywhere at once and the goblins most likely can (its a numbers game).
Maybe they are building a shrine at an unholy site? The leader of the demon worshippers how do they hold power? Demons are chaotic by nature their champion should be very powerful. Maybe the champion seeks to be possessed by the demon or be its host.
The more you build your goblins the easier it is to create story arcs for you players.
Great concept and good luck I hope this helped develop your story.
