Take a look at Yawning Portal. It is filled with a bunch of stand a lone adventures ranging from all sorts of levels. Otherwise look at 4e stand alone adventures. They're pretty easy to use with 5e as well without too much balancing.
Maybe check out some of the Adventure League publications. Probably the best one narrative wise is DDAL05-02 to DDAL05-16. These adventures run in tandem or lead up to Storm Kings Thunder. It's tiered for Level 1 through 10 if you do all the modules, but you can adjust difficulty up and down as you wish.

+1 for Yawning Portal. If I remember correctly there are 4 different adventures that can be run in a couple of play sessions.
Maybe don't start with Tomb of Horrors though.
