I'm thinking of making Orcus a more important demon lord in Out of the abyss by making one of the components for Vizerans ritual a mind flayer brain. I'm thinking of them meeting Cyrog the elder brain but I can't think of what to add to Cyrog when I'm making homebrew of him. Also, does anyone know where all the demon lords are in Out of the abyss?
The story is basically that the elder brain Cyrog is dead then Orcus appears and raises him from the dead using the Wand of Orcus. Because the elder brain Cyrog came back to life the mind flayer colony praises Orcus for saving Cyrog. Here's a picture that describes what happened.

Demogorgon is chilling around the Dark Lake (when I ran this campaign I ruled that Demogorgon had already been killed as described in the novel Maestro)
Yeenoghu and Baphomet are hunting each other in the Labyrinth
Zuggtmoy is with the Myconids outside Neverlight Grove
Juiblex is outside Blingdenstone
Orcus is somewhere out to the east
Frazurbluu is trapped inside a gem in Mantol Derith
Thanks, I might add kostchtchie. My players loved the bit where they didn't know what lemoogoogon meant then the demogorgon showed up just as the Kuo- tuo leader shouted out lemoogoogon. Also where's the Old shanatar?

Grazzt is in Old Shanatar
Lolth is still in the Abyss
I also included:
Kostchtchie in the Sea of Moving Ice
Dagon off the Sword Coast
Sess'inek and Pazuzu are off in Maztica
Hmmm. This is pretty cool. Maybe I’ll pick up Out of the Abyss some day.
But Myconids are good or neutral. They wouldn’t serve Zuggtmoy.

Old Shanatar was a dwarven kingdom. I think it’s near the Great Rift.

What gender do you think Demogorgon is?
Yes, they would. Read Out of the Abyss before making assumptions.
Okay. There’s no reason some Myconids can’t be evil enough to serve Zuggtmoy. But most of them are good or neutral.
In one product I read (Mystara: Wrath of the Immortals) Demogorgon was female. But it’s a very old product from 2e that I picked up on Amazon and I wasn’t sure if it had been retconned, since the later editions show demons as being much more alien and inhuman than devils (probably in an attempt to highlight the differences between them). I liked it cause it showed that a deity can still be fundamentally female despite appearing savage and horrific on the outside. At least that’s how I interpreted it.

P.S. Most/all demons are genderless.
@Yeenoghu9000 making Demogorgon female is a valid interpretation and is supported by at least one canon product, even if it is really old.
I've got an idea for the end of out of the abyss, I'm gonna make it they lose the fight to the demon lords and have to go back in time and stop Gromph Baenre from casting the ritual that made the demon lords come or make it an apocalypse where demon lords rule parts of faerun.

I haven’t read Out of the Abyss, but I don’t get the connection between Orcus and mind flayers.
Elder brains are really cool. They’re basically godlike beings, so you can pretty much homebrew them with whatever psionic abilities you want.

Maybe give the Elder Brain a collection of psionically cast necromancy spells? for instance eyebite or contagion.
Awesome!!! 😊
And yeah. That would totally work.

In Out of the Abyss Zuggtmoy corrupts myconids into mindless servants for her. I don't think the willingly serve her, but are enslaved.

That makes sense. Thanks.
i was going to say this, but didn't want to spoil too much, since you haven't read Out of the Abyss yet.

That’s okay 😊. I’m still gonna read it eventually. I like Outer Planar stuff.

Is Gromph Baenre a drow?
Yeah, you gotta read out of the abyss to understand it all.

Be very careful with time travel. That kind of stuff can make you retcon the entire campaign.
