I have been playing RPGs and D&D since the 80s. I have never really run anything. Always had ideas but never ran anything.
Now my daughter, who is about to turn 12, is very interested in playing. I would love to run something for her.
I am very versed in the rules of 5e and have ideas floating around in my head but really have no idea how to approach a story for a 12 year old girl nor a single player.
Any thoughts or help you can offer would be appreciated.
Doesn't have to be anything too elaborate for a story/plot line. May be difficult to GM for 1 person. I don't have any advice for that. Would she have friends, even one or two, that might be interested in learning? And I would advise that you use the first campaign with teaching your daughter how the rules work, how encounters work, etc.
It's cool that your little girl is interested. Hope you're able to pass the RPG-bug into the next generation :)
Good luck!
