Hey, so I have Roleplay Managed before, but I figured I would try my hand at actually running something more official. I am using DnD Beyond to keep track of my players. I am wondering is there is a way to add the players to the campaign but have them not be able to see anyone else until Session 1. I want there to be more of an element of surprise. I also need access to the ones character's backstory feature, which I can only do if they are in my campaign already. Help?
Rollback Post to RevisionRollBack
Jack of all trades, master of none. I play and I guess DM now too. Just struggling till the dice that control my life roll higher than a ten.
Hmm. There isn't a way, that I'm aware of, to hide the other players in the campaign from each other. Though only the dm can see backstories.
An option is to not create the campaign. Don't have players join one until session 1. Have the players share their character sheet link with you privately so you can look them over. Then when you are ready post the campaign link for them to join.
