Does anyone have any tips/trick/ideas for a good one shot for D&D 5e adventure guild? I need to come up with a session for in a couple of weeks and I usually plan big multiple session campains and I'm having a hard time coming up with something that can be done in 2-3 hours.
When you say adventure guild, do you mean like official "Adventurer's League" games? Or do you mean like in your game your players have met up with an "adventuring guild" and are to take a quest on from them?
If you are referring to "Adventurer's League", I'd highly recommend checking out https://www.dmsguild.com/ as Adventurer's League games are typically very strict about what you can run. Most usually have moderators that you'd be able to check into and get recommendations from as well if you're given a free week where you are not running the pre-designated module.
For the latter, I'd still check out Dmsguild for some great and free one shots.
If you provide a little clarifying information (what game do the players want to play, what are they fond of [heavy combat/roleplay], do they know each other/have characters in mind) I'd be able to answer a little better as well.
