Hi. (First post) My party are bashing their way through the encounter sequence at the moment, and i mean bashing, and will be up against Xanathar pretty quickly I think. One thing about this adventure is there seems to be a lack of treasure. Perhaps I've been spoilt by spending too much time with computer games but i felt they should have a few more magic items by now. What sort of load out should a party of 5 level 4 (soon to be 5) have. Wizard, Eldritch Knight, Paladin, Druid & Monk, At the moment they have a couple of +1 magic weapons, a good assortment of potions and scrolls, and I think one has +1 armour. A wand of web gets frequent use plus a broach that allows pass without trace once per day. I feel i need to dish out some more stuff before they get into the final stage. If there is any web resource could you point me in the right direction
That's honestly as good a load-out as they need. Also remember that the adventure's main payout is the pile of treasure at the end when they finally get out of the vault. 5E isn't really built assuming magic weapons at all, so the ones your party is likely to run across at low levels tend to be more interesting or flavorful than just your standard boost gear.
