Ok so here is the situation. How far is xanthals tower from the council building where all the main sessions are held?
It doesnt say the travel time and it usually doesnt make a difference but now they are trying to get back to get a character resurrected by the harpers and I'm not sure how many days of travel it would take. The spell has to be within 10 days and wanna know if it is within the travel time.
Using multiple sources on the forgotten realms wiki. I estimate that it is about 500 miles from Waterdeep to the approximate location that Xonthal's Tower appears to be. The map of the area surrounding Xonthal's Tower on the wiki does not match the map of the Sword Coast exactly, but it has enough landmarks in common to make an estimation. Which leads to another question, why in the heck does the map of the adventure not include the location of a dungeon an entire chapter is based on?
I have been a player in the Rise of Tiamat adventure, and I tried to DM Hoard of the Dragon Queen. These adventures are awful. They ask so much of the DM to make their world work, not to mention the leaps in logic that they take, and the flat out railroading it forces the players into at times.
I highly respect any DM that even attempts this nonsense.

Thank you for the help, I really appreciate the answer, 500 miles it is.
