I need a little guidance into what put in for a dragon hoard. I will be using a home brew ‘Adolescent Blue Dragon’ (stronger than a young but not as strong as an adult).
Does the following seem suitable? It’s one of the only things I’m struggling to feel good with.
**Coin**
3800cp
1400sp
17000gp
360pp
**Mundane items**
Several embroidered throw pillows depicting wyrmling dragons
A crude flue with a pleasing sound
**Gems**
8 gems worth 10gp each 5 gems worth 50gp each 4 gems worth 100gp each
**Art objects**
4 art objects worth 25gp each 4 art objects worth 250gp each
**Magic items**
1 potion of healing Potion of fire breathe Cloak of manta ray Potion of Diminution Staff of healing Short sword +1 Staff of striking Dragon Scale mail
**Curiosities**
A glass vial containing a swirling blue mist that smells of ozone
A preserved sandstorm in a magical glass globe
A puzzle box intricately carved with swirling wind patterns
**Trinkets**
A shard of blue dragon scale, warm to the touch
A miniature sandstorm contained within a crystal vial
A small figurine of a dragon with wings outstretched
Fizban’s Treasury of Dragons has some pretty good guidance for building dragon hoards. It includes breakdowns of the size of the hoard and how many of each kind of thing could be in there. Then there are tables you can roll on to determine individual items. I’ve used it to build a hoard for an Ancient White Dragon and it was really useful.
Based on that guidance, your gold and platinum coin count seems kind of high. Silver seems low. For a dragon of that age they recommend only 4 magic items. Anyway, you’re probably fine but if you wanted to really check your work, you could roll on those tables in Fizban’s and see if it shakes out any differently.
I find its a nice and diversified hoard, may be bit large though for an adolescent dragon but if you think it's suitable for your campaign go for it! In mine i would cut it by a few magic items and gold coins.
*This ornate amulet is crafted from swirling silver and azure gemstones, reminiscent of gathering storm clouds. Etched with ancient runes of power, it hums with latent elemental energy.
The amulet has 10 charges which reset 1d6+4 at dawn*
**Properties:**
***Control over Storm Elementals (2 charges):***
*While attuned to the amulet, the wearer gains the ability to command and communicate with storm elementals, bending their will to their own desires. This control extends to lesser beings of the storm, granting authority over winds, lightning, and rain.*
***Calm Desert's Sandstorms (1 charge):***
*The wearer can invoke the amulet's power to quell the fury of desert sandstorms within a 1-mile radius. The swirling sands settle, creating a serene oasis of calm within the desert's harsh landscape.*

*While wearing the amulet, the wearer gains resistance to damage from lightning and thunder for 1 minute.*
***Weather Manipulation (3 charges):***
*The wearer can call upon the amulet to alter the weather within a 5-mile radius, summoning rain, clearing skies, or stirring up a tempestuous storm.*
***Voice of the Tempest (6 charges):***
*The wearer can speak a command word to summon a powerful storm elemental to aid them in battle or tasks related to controlling the weather. The elemental remains for 1 hour or until dismissed by the wearer.*

It all seems pretty good. Maybe a bit much on how much money but overall, its fine.
