Heyo! I'm currently making a campaign for my party that involves both Feywild and Shadowfell. The Dungeon Master's Guide only spares about a page worth of content each for both of them and I'm wondering if there's any other books that mention these planes? This'll be my first time DMing and I really want to do a good job with the lore and stuff of the world im crafting. I've told my party a bit about what I have planned and I don't want to let them down.
Tayn of Darkwood. Lvl 10 human Life Cleric of Lathander. Retired.
Ikram Sahir ibn Malik al-Sayyid Ra'ad, Second Son of the House of Ra'ad, Defender of the Burning Sands. Lvl 9 Brass Dragonborn Sorcerer + Greater Fire Elemental Devil.
Viktor Gavriil. Lvl 20 White Dragonborn Grave Cleric, of Kurgan the God of Death.
Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell by Susanna Clarke is great for inspiration about fairies and what the Fey wild should be like. It's a very long book but VERY worth it. (The tv show not so much).
As for Shadowfell, I'm constantly reminded of The Upside Down from Stranger Things.
I dont discriminate against the length of books ;) And the summary for it looked very enticing and right up my usual alley so I went ahead and ordered a copy lol. Thanks for the recommendation. I'll be sure to tear right into the moment it's in my hands.
And the Upside Down? I can't think of a more fitting visual example. Can't believe I didn't think of that myself, especially with all the demi-gorgons and mind flayers flaunting about. This'll all be very helpful in weaving an epic campaign for my friends/party. Our current DM (great guy, being super helpful and chill about us first time players) is a bit lackluster right now. I've already asked about running my own campaign once his finishes his current one and he's already crafting a character for himself to use. So I'm using my experience as a party member (im the bard) and taking my time to craft a campaign my party will enjoy while getting to know their characters and play style better.

Hope that helps.

Have the page bookmarked and primed for reading through. Thanks!!!
One warning about Strange and Norrell, it starts a little slow but that makes it all the better when the pace picks up. Hope you enjoy!
