I'm writing a one-shot with a theme of spirals (partly inspired by the movie Uzumaki). Does anyone know of any monsters that have a spiral in them or on them? I flipped through the MM and I couldn't find anything ... I'm sure this is a long shot, but maybe I'm missing something obvious. Thanks!

For example, I might re-skin the Giant Crocodile as aGiant Nautilus - since the Nautilus shell has an almost iconic spiral shape ( see image below ) - re-skinning the Bite & Tail attacks of the Crocodile as Beak and Tentacle attacks of the Giant Nautilus .
Likewise, many things with natural horns could be portrayed as having a spiral horns. The Unicorn comes to mind, right away - but I'm sure you recast Giant Goat as a Giant Ibex, with their almost spiral horns ( just describe them as such ).
With a little creative work, you can work in spiral features into many natural creatures, or stock monsters.
If the Players know the MM enough to know that such-and-such a monster doesn't normally have a spiral horn, then it highlights the theme in their minds.

You could always re-skin monsters to suit.

Good luck :)
