I am running a campaign for my son and his friends. with them all being younger it is easier for combat for maps and minis. The issue i am having is being able to print the maps out with grid lines and to scale for them. any websites or suggestions on how to print this out on to paper so i can assemble before the session.
Photoshop has actual inches you can use to adjust your gridlines. Setup your maps to be multiples of 8.5"x11", set your gridlines the match the base of the minis and adjust your background maps accordingly.
I was running into similar problems with how to actually get the images from DnDBeyond to print properly, but this guide works pretty well. It's an involved process that can take a bit of time, but 60-90 minutes honestly isn't too bad. The only thing you need to do is download GIMP (it's free!). Just google 'GIMP photo editor' and you'll find it right away.
