I feel like it at least needs a CHANCE of giving relevant information or the party may get bored with it. Like maybe in the 90's there's some "important-plot-info" that's specific to your campaign?
Otherwise, Here's more quirky fun stuff:
"A major ingredient in X Potion is Cilantro"
"If every humanoid on the planet were to jump at the exact same time, when they land the planet would collapse" (they have the knowledge but its so improbable that theres nothing they can do with it lol)
"There's a legendary weapon on the peak of a mountain"
Im creating an item that causes players to learn a random information about the world
This can vary between:
How to kill a God to How to cook meat
I just need you guys to come up with bunch of ideas big enough for a d100 table
Edit: I really like excel
“The prince is having an affair with his stepmother”.— It doesn’t say which prince or where.
Yesterday a child was born...— is there something special about this kid?
“A man is creating a game in which you would pretend to be a person from the future”— wait what?
This is great, and I'm 100% going to use it lol
