Does anyone have any suggestions for running Ghosts of Saltmarsh for a group that includes someone that played Sinister Secret and Danger at Dunwater? Obviously, that person will have significant foreknowledge of the adventures. I’m trying to find a way to remix or replace those adventures so as to keep the setting and the storyline regarding the factions.
You could dump those two in favor of some other early level adventures (it's pretty easy to slot Sunless Citadel/Forge of Fury into the Dreadwood/Hool Marshes/Sunken Forrest, for example) so the players can gain some renown in town.
Then, you could have it so the town guard or another group of NPCs had the initial contact with the smugglers and the lizard folk, then the town could hand off the fight with the saughin to your group.
