I am planning on running a Ravnica-based, guild-focused adventure with some friends later this year. They have had no contact with MTG or its universe. This is good, the campaign assumes they don’t and shows them the negative sides of their guild over time. So I don’t just want to tell them all of the guilds’ secrets. So I’m making an in-character moment in Session 0 where they learn and pick
I’ve figured it out this far - the characters are old friends (think college/high friends who have just now graduated). They prove their mettle (either by combat or just assumed examinations), and all of the guilds are interested in them. They host a little Guildpact festival where all of the guilds are represented, and they all entice the party to join (I’m expecting different ones). Afterwards, they work out an agreement where they band together and do each other’s quests (so they are all soaked into guild politics).
That’s the big picture. I do have some ideas for some representatives, but that’s it. Azorius and Boros would have professional booths, Dimir would take their traditional media role, Orzhov would pose as a charity organization, Rakdos would use their more mild entertainment, and the Izzet and Simic would show off their inventions.
That’s all I have. Any suggestions/discussion will be heavily appreciated.
The Azorius keep information on all graduates and their “class rankings” and provide it to other guilds for the sake of calling themselves equal (although they are able to court all the high-rankers first). All the guilds then take this information, and at the annual graduation ceremony, set up shop and try to rope in high-rankers.
The ceremony is impartial as a way to “foster interguild friendship”, but the tension is very clear, showing itself more and more throughout speeches (Rakdos in particular falls everyone out)

Hello,

I do have an idea where all the Guildmasters give a speech.
To add more information:
