Hey fellow DMs,

i just finished LMoP with a new group and i want to build up on that. 

So here is a little Backstory. 

The only Noble Char said that he (and his group) has cleaned the Castle Cragmaw... (but they really didn't, they just killed "the head" as he called it) and i took great joy in that.

So i went on and they went into the Mines... somewhat cleared the Mines. 

Now after two ingame weeks later they return to the town and they discover that the only priestes in town (Sister Garaele) got corrupted. Because she went to the castle to reclaim the lost shrine. But the castle wasn't save.

My plan is to shift this into a demon plot, with lot of the w40k nurgle flair.... 

so my question is... what demons (NOT devils) do you know of that i can put them up against to get the nurgle flair....

tbh... i just dumped my mind into this .... so if something isn't clear.. please ask :D 

RN i'm thinking of a Bulezau and a Gnoll Fang of Yeenoghu ... but i need some more creatures that spread diseases

For actual demons, dretch, vrock, and hezrou at least produce toxic gas, which seems thematically close. For things that aren't demons, there are of course the diseased giant rat, the gas spore, and the otyugh, and while not technically disease oriented, a gibbering mouther seems like the kind of thing Nurgle would appreciate.

Rutterkins and vargouilles both spread a kind of disease that transforms creatures (though vargouilles are technically not demons)

for higher levels, use the wastrilith and the sibriex, as both of them befoul the areas around them.

Hm. I decided to throw together a homebrew version of the Gibbering Mouther that better fits. I think it's decently horrifying.
