I have been DMing since 1st Edition and have run campaigns in many worlds (and worlds of my own making). I played in a campaign in Eberron prior to 5e evening being on the drawing board. We are coming to the end of a campaign and I was thinking of doing something different - and that difference would be setting the campaign in Eberron. So here's the question: Besides the new 5e book (Rising from the Last War) what are some other resources that I should have or be familiar with that are Eberron specific?
Would the 4e material be more helpful or not?
What about Wayfinder's Guide to Eberron in the DM Guild?
And full confession time - I hated, hate, will most likely continue to hate 3.5.
The 3.5 books can be found for pretty cheap (used) and have a lot of lore in them. Mechanics are easily ignored, so no need to even deal with that part. I don't know anything about the 4e versions. Before Wayfinder's came out, I was using my 3.5 books for lore and converting to 5e.
In addition, there's the online resources like the eberron wiki, but I've found a lot of good stuff on Keith Baker's website, www.keith-baker.com
He has articles going back a long time, and you can search within that site for just about whatever lore you need.
