I'm planning on running a campaign for some new players. I have Curse of Strahd, Out of The Abyss, and Storm King's Thunder. Which of these should I run?
Depends on the group... but for quality of material I'd go for Strahd.

Rule for drama. Roll for memories. If there isn't a meaningful failure condition, do not roll. Ever. (Perception checks, I'm .... clunk, roll, roll, roll, stop... 14, looking at you... maybe?)
I am having a blast in our COS game. We are starting SKT once we finish this blasted castle. OOTA is fun but you spend the first half running evading dipping and dodging the first boss and underground. Some players aren't ready for that.
COS: is gothic horror and probably the best written.
SKT: is an open sandbox with GIANTS. While it has good ideas, the execution is poor, so it requires a lot of work on the DMs part to restructure it imo.
OOTA: A lot of time below ground. Some fun ideas but some players may not like this.
If you have no strong preference, talk with your group as part of a session 0 and see if they are really interested in one of those themes.

"An' things ha' come to a pretty pass, ye ken, if people are going to leave stuff like that aroound where innocent people could accidentally smash the door doon and lever the bars aside and take the big chain off'f the cupboard and pick the lock and drink it!"
I'd agree that Strahd is objectively the best, but I'd ask the players "hey, which sounds coolest, gothic vampires, Norse giants, or the Underdark?" They might have a preference.

Yeah, it depends. Ask them. I do second Curse of Strahd, though.
Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:

Each of those three is different thematically.
