I could have sworn there were some name tables in one of the DMG's maybe a couple versions back. I can't seem to find them. Am I just imaging it? I seem to remember large d100 tables with first names. Maybe it was 3.5?
I don’t remember earlier editions, but in 5e those are in an appendix in Xanathar’s Guide to Everything, not the DMG.
