New DM’ing campaign Dragon/Icespire for a group of new players running Loggers Camp quest....
PCs grabbed two quests off bored, went to tavern had drinks, Next morning- Multiple times I asked them if they wanted to go to townmasters or head out, they head WITHOUT the supplies to drive to Loggers Camp.
No one notices... what should I do once they realize?
I haven’t run Icespire before... is it time sensitive? If not, it’s not a big problem to make them go back for the supplies. It could be slightly annoying, but they should be annoyed at themselves, and it could be funny.
If there is time pressure, I’d try to come up with some way for them to improvise what they need at the site. If there’s a way to let them do the job, but not as well, and for a slightly reduced reward, that’d be a good way of acknowledging the mistake without being too punitive.
Not time sensitive but we ended our last session right before combat broke out so they won’t even realize til after the combat is over. It’s an approx. 2 day journey back to grab cart and supplies, so four days total... I like the humor aspect idea so I’ll probably go with that. thanks for the help!
