I'm currently running a campaign in a country that lost a war to a neighbouring country about 6 months ago. One of the party members, a tiefling eldritch knight, made a deal with a very powerful Hag (she's just the Baba Yaga) for an upper hand in the war and was gifted magic - for a favour, the Hag could cash in at any time. The party is currently tracking down some demons they accidentally set free and attempting to stop one of them from releasing a plague over the capital city. After this, they will turn their attention to the leader of the demons and attempt to seal him again.
Essentially, what I'm debating is should her favour be related to the main quest involving the demons or something else entirely?
I’d hold on to the favor for a while. Let the plot develop a bit then you can use it when you can really turn the screws. Maybe something you do t expect will come up.
What if the hag was the leader of the demons? What if the demons were people that had previously made a deal with the hag? What if the demons are versions of the 4 horseman/7 deadly sins and the hag needs the Eldritch night to be the final piece? What if the hag draws power from the demons the way the knight draws power from her? What if her deal with the knight isn’t a one way street and the teifling soul is slowly being syphoned by the witch?
In your setting does Baba Yaga or some hags in general have a close tie to the Lower Planes, Abyss, or Hells? Also do you have the devils - demons distinction like in Forgotten Realms?
If so than maybe Baba Yaga wants the party to capture the lead demon to trade to a more powerful devil, or to use in a ritual.

So, I need a couple of ideas.

I would make turning one of the demons over to her the favor!
