Puzzle finetuning

I have a character in my party who has a deep friendship with a giant mother spider and often takes her babies (about the size of her hand) out on adventures for help or companionship. I want to set up a puzzle where she has to use them to help solve it. They're about to be forced into a cave based dungeon, so anything in that realm would work. Thank you in advance!

How about shrinking the PCs (such that the baby spiders are now sized in comparison as 'giant') & having them all explore a maze...
